The Dokaims have many customs unique to their people. For example, visitors of sacred grounds must wear special traditional garments when visiting those places. It is believed that is the only way to pay one's respect to that location and its history. The garments of those who hail from the Dokaim clan have a black and orange color palette.
Echoed throughout the halls of the Dokaim Keep for generations are the many tall tales told of their clan's past. The most popular of these stories among the youngins over the generations are "The Warrior and the Twin Sea Serpents" and "The Mistress Rebellion." |

Aside from the few who hadn't lost their faith in the forerunners, many elites had chose to revert to the old beliefs of their people before the time of the Covenant. While most of these beliefs were universal to the broader sangheili society, there are some which were exclusively customary to the Dokaim.
Among the native wildlife that exist within Enduro are the Helioskrill, beings that are seen as divine beasts among the Dokaim. Although extremely uncommon to encounter, it is said among the locals that those who fall prey to these beasts are those who’ve incurred a bad omen, and that these perceived deities are just merely carrying out divine judgement. A belief unique only to those within Dokaim's Ioshu province. The sand serpents that dwell the lands of Hethos are also a species perceived the exact same way among those native to the Hethos province. |

Another interesting yet very uncommon tradition of the Dokaims is their created suffixes. One such example of this is Kaidon Voruka 'Dokaimishi who bears a suffix denoting his status as the lord of Dokaim Keep. Vil 'Dokaimji is also another who seems to have too adopted this naming tradition. His suffix denoting his status as the lord of Sa'duun Keep. Though added to their names, these individuals would normally not be addressed along with these suffixes by those outside of their clan.

Royalty, like among the general culture of their species, was a foreign concept to the Dokaim. The establishment of the current royal line came during the reign of the Royal Mistress where she intended to have her own lineage succeed the throne. For her sons, they were told from young that they were her successors essentially. Because many didn't agree with her premeditated decision of choosing nepotism above martial capability, her kin ended up becoming the targets of many and were tested greatly during their youth. One of which managing to succeed the throne eventually.
